Clean ingredients. Clinical strength. Built for recovery.

When your horse's skin is compromised — whether from abrasions, persistent sores, or seasonal irritation — healing stalls without the right conditions. Restorative Clay gives damaged tissue exactly what it needs: a dry, sealed environment where recovery can happen uninterrupted.

This concentrated clay is formulated to be placed directly onto affected areas, including raw or weeping tissue. Once applied, it firms into a durable outer shell — functioning like the body's own scabbing response, only stronger. Beneath that shell, Bentonite Clay and Sodium Bicarbonate go to work pulling fluid, heat, and bacterial buildup away from the wound site while Jojoba Oil and Witch Hazel condition the surrounding skin.

The result: tissue that can regenerate in a clean, undisturbed environment — free from flies, debris, and the cycle of reinfection that slows so many equine skin conditions.

Why It Works
  • Sealed Recovery Zone: Firms into a breathable outer shell that keeps contaminants out while active ingredients work underneath.
  • Deep Extraction: Bentonite Clay and Sodium Bicarbonate actively draw fluid, heat, and bacterial buildup away from the wound site.
  • Broad Application: Trusted for abrasions, seasonal sores, dermatitis, hive flare-ups, and localized swelling.
Ingredients

Proprietary blend of Sodium Bicarbonate, Bentonite Clay, Witch Hazel, Neem Oil, Essential Rosemary Oil.

How to Use
  1. Prep the Area: For weeping or raw tissue, blot gently with a clean cloth until the surface is as dry as possible.
  2. Layer It On: Apply a generous, even coat over the affected area. Do not massage or rub in.
  3. Let It Set: Allow the clay to dry and harden completely into its protective shell.
  4. Leave Undisturbed: Keep the dried layer intact until it wears away on its own.
  5. Recoat as Needed: Once the layer has worn off, assess the area and apply a fresh coat if healing is still in progress.
  6. Gentle Removal: If early removal is necessary, dampen with water to soften first. Never peel or scrape dry clay — this can tear new tissue forming underneath.

Worked wonders on my boys deep leg gash! He got is over 3 months ago, almost to the bone! It has had a super hard time healing and has gotten infected several times. Just 3 days of using this daily and the infection is completely gone and the wound is scabbed over nicely! I have now been using it for just over a week and I can see a significant improvement in the restoration of the tissue and skin! This has been a sanity and life saver for me! It will be my go to for any and all cuts/ wounds from now until I no longer have horses! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Thank You Jasmine, our Restorative Clay was made just for that issue and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I reach for the Restorative Clay over the Blue Clay?
Restorative Clay is for skin — wounds, abrasions, dermatitis, hive flare-ups, localized swelling. Botanical Blue Clay is hoof-specific. Different formulas, same philosophy: seal the area and let the botanicals work.
How long should the clay shell stay on?
Typically 24–48 hours depending on activity and environment. Don't peel it off — let it wear away naturally. Recoat once it's gone if recovery is still in progress.
My horse has a weeping wound. Should I apply this?
Yes — but blot the area with a clean cloth first to dry the surface as much as possible. The clay needs to bond with dry tissue to form the protective shell.
Is it safe to use on dogs?
Yes. The Restorative Clay works on dogs with skin irritation, hot spots, or moisture-related issues. Apply the same way you would on a horse.
How often should I reapply?
Once the previous shell has worn off, reassess and reapply if recovery is still in progress. Most areas need 2–4 applications spaced naturally over a week.
